What is Ozone?
Ozone is an invisible, highly reactive gas that can cause or aggravate respiratory problems, especially for individuals with conditions such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema. Ozone may also decrease lung capacity. Long-term exposure may even present a risk for healthy individuals.
Ozone is found in smog, and can also be generated by copiers, laser printers, fax machines, ultraviolet lights, and certain types of air cleaners, such as ionizer and electrostatic precipitators.
Ozone Watch is a do-it-yourself 1-hour test that indicates the presence of ozone. The test consists of a chemically-treated card which turns purple in the presence of ozone.
Each package contains:
- Sealed pouch with two test cards
- Information booklet with Ozone Exposure Chart
